Today, the Mountain Goats are thrilled to announce the release of their classic 2002 LP All Hail West Texas on limited-edition yellow Peak Vinyl, available from the Merge store or the tMG Bandcamp page.

Available on colored vinyl for the first time, All Hail West Texas has long enjoyed a privileged place in the Mountain Goats’ sprawling discography, boasting fan-favorite songs like “Fall of the Star High School Running Back,” “Jenny,” and “The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton,” and its standing as the last solo effort recorded entirely on John Darnielle’s Panasonic RX-FT500 boombox until 2020’s Songs for Pierre Chuvin.

Order yours sooner rather than later—when we released Songs for Pierre Chuvin on cassette through the Merge store in 2020, the demand broke our website! The new, limited-edition yellow Peak Vinyl version of  All Hail West Texas is available now at Bandcamp, from the Merge store, and directly from the band.

The Mountain Goats are heading out for a run of John Darnielle/Matt Douglas duo shows in February, before the full band goes on tour early this spring. Tickets are selling fast, so grab yours today!
