Hot off the heels of her 2019 album Highway Hypnosis, which saw praise from the NY Times, NPR, and Exclaim!, Sneaks (aka Eva Moolchan) is back today with new song “Mars in Virgo.” Add it to your own “Mars in Virgo perfection” playlist today!

Moolchan wrote Merge about her approach to “Mars in Virgo”:

I think of “Mars in Virgo” as a powerful electronic ballad.
I wanted the song to feel like it was created from a drummer’s perspective.
I was definitely influenced by ’80s synths and drum beats.
The beginning of the song kind of reminds me of a car starting, and then it kind of turns into a dance song.
I was definitely influenced by songs like “Personal Jesus” and “Strangelove” by Depeche Mode.

“Mars in Virgo” was self-produced by Sneaks and mixed by Carlos Hernandez. The song hints at more to come from the Washington, DC-based artist, so make sure you’re following her on Instagram and Facebook.
