Sad news from the Reigning Sound camp, though not unprecedented in early 2022: their long-awaited tour dates are canceled due to the Omicron variant.

Lucky for us, there’s a silver lining! Bandleader Greg Cartwright has offered up a new Reigning Sound track to the digital gods: “Lonely Ghost,” the B-side of their “A Little More Time” 7-inch released last year ahead of the band’s 2021 album of the same name. Add a little country soul to your week today!

Greg Cartwright on the tour cancelation:

Due to the recent surge of Omicron cases in the US, we are canceling the Reigning Sound spring tour dates. This was a hard decision to make. Reigning Sound and our touring partners, The Country Westerns and The Okmoniks, have been looking forward to these shows for nearly a year. We remain hopeful that Covid infection rates will decrease in the coming months. Perhaps we’ll be able to reschedule these shows sooner than later. Until then, we hope that you and your loved ones remain healthy. Please contact your local venue for any questions regarding your ticket refund.
