Festival season is in full swing, and Ibibio Sound Machine are delivering the goods — Pull the Rope, the outfit’s thrilling new album, has arrived on the eve of a massive, globetrotting tour. Hailed as a “refreshing new chapter for a perpetually vibrant group,” the Max Grunhard and Ross Orton-produced Pull the Rope further teases out the edges of Ibibio Sound Machine’s perpetual, irresistible groove, with tracks like “Let My Yes Be Yes” delving deeper into the electronic territory of their 2022 smash, Electricity. Listen to Pull the Rope wherever you stream music, and order it on CD, LP, or limited sky blue / red / black swirl Peak Vinyl in the Merge store. Fans in the UK can get Pull the Rope on ultra-limited colour-in-colour splatter mix vinyl from our friends at Blood Records.
