Hiss Golden Messenger is thrilled to announce the release of A Loner Alive: Songs from the Western Part of the United States of America. Whereas prior Hiss Golden Messenger live releases have been full-band affairs, this one finds M.C. Taylor live and alone with his two small guitars on six stops from 2023’s An Evening with Hiss Golden Messenger solo tour.

A Loner Alive is available on nugs.net and Bandcamp, where 50% of sales proceeds benefit The Okra Project, a mutual aid collective that seeks to support black trans people with the goal of alleviating barriers that the community faces. Each release in Hiss Golden Messenger’s live series partners with a different organization doing good work in our collective universe.
