With her new album Eno Axis set to be released worldwide tomorrow, H.C. McEntire presents a new music video for her third and final single from the record that’s already been hailed as a “masterpiece” by PopMatters.

The eerie visual for “River’s Jaw” complements its lyrics: impressionistic and ominous, but also knowing, as if the protagonist is aware their answers are just outside the frame. Watch it today:

The “River’s Jaw” video was directed by Jared Hogan, who previously collaborated with McEntire on LIONHEART’s “Baby’s Got the Blues.” Pick up your copy of McEntire’s masterpiece today on CD, LP, and copper marble Peak Vinyl in the Merge store, and be sure to listen to Eno Axis in full starting tonight at midnight local!

“Trading the straightforward country sounds of her celebrated 2018 album LIONHEART for a rawer, rougher palette that showcases her loyal backing band, these new songs survey the world from this plot of land near a bend in its namesake river.”
—Stephen Deusner, Uncut

“McEntire has made a distinct record that starts near country but arrives alternately at Memphis soul, psychedelic rock, and incandescent pop.”
—Grayson Currin, Come Hear NC

“…a welcome collection of psalms from an artist who is still uncovering her own depth.”
