With the August 25 release of Toy right around the corner, Texas troublemakers A Giant Dog have blessed us with “Roller Coaster,” another fantastic peek inside their new album. While the song deviates from the speedy rhythms of previous singles “Bendover” and “Photograph,” it does so without losing an ounce of energy, and features a guest appearance by Britt Daniel.

From the desk of A Giant Dog frontwoman Sabrina Ellis:
“Roller Coaster” is our song about gripping onto your sanity. The lyrics liken losing one's mind to being stopped upside-down on a rollercoaster, grasping, white-knuckled, afraid to look down and lose grip. In composition, the song feels like a rollercoaster, climbing at a slow tick, building tension before reaching the top and going into full free fall at the bridge.

In case you missed ’em, check out the explosive video for “Bendover” and fall in love with “Photograph” before pre-ordering Toy on CD and lipstick-red vinyl in the Merge store (with a T-shirt bundle option), or via these digital music providers.

The band have added a west coast leg to their massive North American tour as well as a hometown album release show at Hotel Vegas. A full list of dates is below; find the one nearest you and get tickets today!
