After a fantastic maiden voyage up the East Coast, Wye Oak have made the unfortunate but necessary decision to cancel July’s five-piece JOIN tour due to COVID-19, which included stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and sold-out shows in Portland and Seattle.

Thankfully, the cameras were rolling when the Wye Oak JOIN band played Baldwin Auditorium in Durham, NC, and today the band is sharing their performance of recent single “Fortune.”

Andy Stack and Jenn Wasner of Wye Oak:

Back when we played these shows in March, we never imagined that they’d be the last ones we’d play for the indefinite future. This was only the second show of the tour, and our band seemed to get better and better with every day. Playing with Adam, Arone, and Pinson was such a joy—we are so proud of the music we made and happy to have this little souvenir of our time together.

The ever-restless Wye Oak have more in store for 2020, so bide your time by revisiting the band’s recent singles “Walk Soft” and “Fear of Heights,” and don’t forget to follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
