Break the Glass: Art from Merge Records 2014–2024
Peel Gallery (open noon–6pm every day of the festival)
Break the Glass is an exhibition featuring original works of art that have graced the sleeves of Merge releases from the past decade. The show will feature works from renowned visual artists Jenna Gribbon, Lucas Blalock, Farah Al Qasimi, and more, as well as art by the musicians themselves, among them John Darnielle, Laura Ballance, and Kurt Wagner.
Born Innocent: The Redd Kross Story Screening

Beat the heat with a matinee screening of the acclaimed Redd Kross documentary! Admission is $10. The first 50 Merge 35 passholders get in free!
Merge 35 Kicknic
Friday, July 26, 11:30am–4pm at Wilson Park
The tradition continues! The fan-organized potluck barbecue and kickball tournament that began at Merge 15 returns to Wilson Park, a 15-minute walk from Cat’s Cradle! The grill lights up at noon, and kickball gets underway at 2pm.
Merge 35 Festival Day Party
Saturday, July 27, 2–6pm at Orange County Social Club
The Merge 35 Day Party takes place at OCSC, featuring music by Eric Bachmann, Collected Poems: Hiss Golden Messenger & Friends, Imperial Teen, and Quivers! This all-ages event is FREE and open to the public!
