Alongside news of Superchunk support dates in North America and a rescheduled tour of Europe and the United Kingdom, TORRES is digitally releasing her covers of Nirvana’s “All Apologies” and Rodney Crowell’s “Making Memories of Us,” a song popularized by Keith Urban. The 7-inch, released in December, is available in the Merge store and participating independent record shops.

Recorded on a classic reel-to-reel at Middle Farm Studios in Devon, UK, at the same time as her critically adored new album Thirstier, Mackenzie Scott takes two songs from opposite corners of the popular-music spectrum and brings them together in a sparse yet captivating manner.

TORRES will play a pair of solo shows in North Carolina this weekend with Superchunk to celebrate the release of their new album Wild Loneliness, with full-band shows opening for Superchunk to follow in April. In August, Scott takes her band overseas for their first tour of the UK and Europe since the release of Thirstier.
