We are crushed to learn of the passing of Rick Froberg. With Rick we have lost one of the most powerful voices and unique guitar players in rock music whose records with Drive Like Jehu, Pitchfork, Hot Snakes, and Obits never felt less than urgent. We feel lucky to have crossed paths with the Drive Like Jehu guys early in Merge’s existence, and the “Bullet Train to Vegas” b/w “Hand Over Fist” single is one of the most revered in our catalog.
RIP Rick.
