This Bandcamp Friday, May 6, 2022, arrives the same week that American citizens learned of the Supreme Court’s appalling intention to strike down Roe v. Wade. Abortion is a human right, abortion is healthcare, and our fellow Americans overwhelmingly hold that opinion as well.

With this news, Merge Records will continue to follow Bandcamp’s lead and donate 100% of tomorrow’s digital sales to our artists, whose livelihoods are still affected daily by the ongoing pandemic. In addition, Merge will match those digital sales and donate that amount to the Carolina Abortion Fund, a non-profit dedicated to providing financial, practical, and emotional support to individuals in North and South Carolina trying to access abortion care.

To those ends, we encourage you to buy music from Merge artists via Bandcamp tomorrow. Your money will benefit them as well as support the ongoing fight for forward progress as a nation and as a society. On top of it all, your Bandcamp collection will be teeming with exciting new sounds from our amazing artists. It’s a win-win-WIN, people. Let’s do this.
