Merge’s humble globetrotter Martin Frawley has announced North American and European tour dates supporting his debut solo album Undone at 31. The former Twerps frontman will hit the road in Europe next week, first with White Fence before linking up with Stephen Malkmus, followed by a trip to the states for shows on Superchunk's Acoustic Foolish tour. Along with this news comes a music video for “Where the Heart Is,” Undone at 31’s twist-ending closer, shot recently in the Tokyo city nightlife.

Praise for Undone at 31:

“Undone at 31 was born out of a need to express heartbreak, to organize those feelings and package them in a way that feels more tolerable. For Frawley, writing this record was akin to therapy. And there’s a chance it might be just as cathartic for the listener.” —Paste

“The song and album are torn between embracing the risks of change and wanting to retreat into an imperfect past.” —LNWY

“This is the sound of someone who is no longer anxiously in flight from sadness, but rather more joyfully in pursuit of contentment.” —PopMatters

“Frawley plays a kind of sleepy-eyed version of outsides Americana… he reflects on the aftermath of a devastating breakup with similar grace and wit.” —Uproxx

“Sounding like Harry Nilsson taking apart Townes Van Zandt songs, it’s a definite shift in tone, but a welcome progression for those that have had Frawley on the turntable these past few years.” —Raven Sings the Blues

“Undone at 31 is a charmingly bare, personal album that transmutes personal upheaval into unaffected art. Let’s hope Frawley doesn’t have to write another like this any time soon, but we can enjoy the one we have.” —Dusted

Listen to Undone at 31 now, and pick up the album on CD, LP, and blue-white marble Peak Vinyl in the Merge store.
