Release the Dogs, Andy Stack’s solo debut full-length as Joyero, is out tomorrow, but you can hear it in full alongside Andy’s track-by-track breakdown of the album right now exclusively on the Talkhouse.

Stack, the Wye Oak co-founder and musical polymath, also sits front and center on the cover of the new issue of INDY Week, out now. The profile interviews Stack as he discusses the ways his Maryland upbringing and the solitude of West Texas informed his songwriting on Release the Dogs, and how the musical community in his new home of North Carolina pushes the Joyero project forward.

"Release the Dogs is a masterpiece of ceaseless motion." —Exclaim!

"It’s exhilarating but controlled, even when the only thing keeping it from slipping into chaos is Stack’s softly commanding voice, the quietest aspect of Release the Dogs, but arguably the most captivating." —INDY Week

"With Release the Dogs, his solo debut album as Joyero, Stack... pushes his music forward across adventurous landscapes and into a more lyrically personal territory." —Talkhouse
