With Ibibio Sound Machine’s Chopping Mountain set to debut on September 11, 2026, today the band are thrilled to share that they’ll be keeping the party going into next year with a new run of EU and UK headline dates stretching out into April of 2027!

Pulled directly from the hearts of the Eno Williams and Max Grunhard-led collective, Chopping Mountain is the clearest rendering yet of Ibibio Sound Machine’s longstanding mission of promoting love, unity, and resistance through music. Heard in clubs and on festival stages the world over, that music — an irresistible blend of organic funk, highlife, and electronic music anchored by Williams’ siren-like voice — is a liberatory, joyful call for community, in life and on the dancefloor.

What critics are saying about Chopping Mountain:

“a dizzy, joyous robo-funk celebration.” —Stereogum

“The band’s vivacious live energy remains, and at times there's an almost punk-like deviance of the rules, with Ibibio Sound Machine continuing to carve out their own lane.” —CLASH

“They continue to stay consistent, vibrant, groovy, and fun.” —The Needle Drop

Ibibio Sound Machine’s 2027 tour of the EU and UK begins February 12 in Berlin, with further stops in Paris, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Glasgow, Manchester, and points beyond. All newly announced dates will go on sale Friday, September 4. All previously announced 2026 dates are on sale now.
