Just days before the March 31 release of It’s a Myth, Sneaks offers us another album preview with “Look Like That,” premiering today on The Fader. Folks have called the music of Sneaks “hip-hop”, “minimal”, “punk”, “spoken word”, “nu-wave”… and they’re all correct (and incorrect). See for yourself!

Furthermore, you can hear the new Sneaks record before it’s officially out and take it home! On Friday, 19 independent record stores in the US began playing the heck out of It’s a Myth and selling the record on CD, cassette, and limited-edition clear vinyl. In addition, up for grabs at each store is an ultra-limited vinyl test pressing of the album housed in a custom spray-painted sleeve. Check out the list of participating stores below.

Sneaks, a.k.a. Eva Moolchan, makes succinct post-punk tidbits, typically clocking in under the two-minute mark but densely steeped with winding bass lines, drum machine beats, and post-modern musings delivered in a disaffected, speak-singing voice. Listen to earlier tracks “Inside Edition” and “Hair Slick Back” now, and visit one of the stores below this week to hear the rest of It’s a Myth.
