Idealized romance meets sobering reality on “Think Aboutcha,” the new single from Fruit Bats' forthcoming hit parade, The Landfill. The track, which finds Eric D. Johnson and co. strutting their stuff like a sun-soaked E. Street band, is now available wherever you stream music — reserve your copy of The Landfill on CD, LP, or limited edition “hummingbird sage” Peak Vinyl ahead of its June 12 release from the UK or US Merge store today!

Eric D. Johnson, on “Think Aboutcha”:

“Think Aboutcha” is a song about a preoccupation that has made its way into many of my lyrics: the liminal space in a dream where memories and love and heartache blur into a psychedelic haze. It was recorded live at Bear Creek Studios on a rainy spring day in Washington State. It pretty much sounds like how we sounded playing in that beautiful barn that day, save for a few overdubs and mix magic.

Fruit Bats fans seeking to climb to the peak of The Landfill and take in those new visions for themselves, take heart: the full Fruit Bats band is embarking on their largest ever tour of North America, beginning this June. Tickets are on sale now!
