Throughout Fucked Up’s double-album epic Dose Your Dreams, the politics and aesthetics of hardcore are married to an “open format” approach to genre: elements of doo-wop, krautrock, groove, digital hardcore, and so much more. Perhaps no better song exemplifies this marriage than the album’s title track, which has been given the music video treatment courtesy of the band’s Mike Haliechuk and is debuting today.

Critical praise for Dose Your Dreams:

“Fucked Up have proven themselves to be one of the most malleable and unusual bands working today.” —Stereogum

“…a kind of visionary matrix through which beautiful music, in many forms—blistering punk rock, stadium alienation, twinkling club-thump, ecstatic pop shiver—comes swimming into our world.” —The Atlantic

“[Dose Your Dreams] confirms that Fucked Up are bigger than the confines of punk purism, yet driven by the spirit” —Spin

“It’s the most ambitious record yet by a band that’s been marked by unyielding ambition” —Treble
