Add it to your summer playlist today!
Felix Da Housecat on his background with Richard:
I met Dawn before she was Dirty Money, so it was just a matter of time until we linked on “ElectroBlakness.” Werkin with her was so organic, we was always on the same page, Dawn help inspire me whilst at same time we shaped a new sound.
When asked if she provided any guidelines or ideas ahead of the remix, Richard replied, “I let Felix and Dave RUN LOOSE. When you have that much legendary greatness together, you simply sit back and enjoy the ride.”
On June 29 at 1pm ET, Richard will premiere a new animated video for “Voodoo” accompanied by a live conversation with animator and Adult Swim collaborator Buttercup.
More praise for “Bussifame”:
“…an electronic track that’s closer to house than to second line, but just keeps adding levels of perky syncopation.” —New York Times
“The ever-evolving Dawn Richard announced a new album, Second Line, is headed our way this spring, and with lead single ‘Bussifame,’ she didn’t just give us a first taste—she served up a whole damn buffet… Dare you not to dance.” —Billboard
“…a space-funk celebration from Dawn Richard” —MTV
“…much like the beloved New Orleans tradition the LP is named for, this track builds to such joy that you’ll be lost in reverie by its end. We can’t wait to hear the rest of what Dawn has in store for us.” —E! Online
