Memphis’ Coco Hames is hitting the road with Nashville’s Little Bandit on their “Tennessee Two” tour next month! The roots-pop singer-songwriters (and longtime friends) are joining forces for a run of co-headlining dates starting in June, with Little Bandit also serving as Hames’ backing band. After that, Hames will be making an appearance at Bumbershoot in Seattle before flying overseas for her premiere European tour in the fall. Find a list of all announced dates below.

As the frontwoman and indomitable force behind beloved garage-pop combo The Ettes, Hames blazed a memorable trail across the ’00s underground. This spring, Hames signed to Merge and released her self-titled solo debut: ten songs co-produced with Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes, Hurray for the Riff Raff) and bolstered by bassist Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs), drummer Julian Dorio (The Whigs), and lead guitarist Adam Meisterhans (Rozwell Kid).

NPR lauded Hames’ genre-hopping effort, observing that she “arms sugary pop hooks with garage-rock fangs.” MOJO magazine described the music as “countryish jangle-pop with a pleasingly menacing side,” while Uncut raved that she “combines the stately emotionalism of ’60s torch singers with the all-caps exuberance of a particularly sharp garage-rock band.”

Tickets for all shows are on sale now, so don’t delay in getting yours! In the meantime, stay hungry with Hames’ video for her song “I Don’t Wanna Go” and pick up your copy of Coco Hames online or at your favorite independent record store.
