Today, Charlotte Cornfield and Friendship announce a December North American co-headlining tour. The tour finds Friendship and Cornfield making stops in major cities in the U.S. and Canada, including Toronto, New York City, DC, and more. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 17th, at 10am ET.
Earlier this year, Cornfield released her “lovely, poignant” (AllMusic) sixth album, Hurts Like Hell, her debut on Merge. The album arrived to warm reception from fans and critics alike, with the album landing on several mid-year “Best of” lists, including SPIN, UPROXX, Exclaim!, and NPR Music, whose Ann Powers called “just the realest, most unassumingly resonant songs I’ve heard this year.” Not only that, but just last week, the album was shortlisted for the prestigious Canadian Polaris Prize.
Friendship have been tearing up the road of late, supporting their 2025 album Caveman Wakes Up at home and abroad. One of 2025’s best reviewed albums, Caveman Wakes Up. The album was a breakthrough for a band whose influence on the emergent alt-country scene has made them something of a reverse supergroup, each member recording and touring prolifically with their own projects (O’Leary with Hour, Gill with 2nd Grade) or others (Samuels with MJ Lenderman and the Wind).
