  • Short, quick prose with one page chapters makes this a very quick read, but all the elements of character development, tension, conflict, and mystery are present to make this a smart and satisfying book.

  • Haunting stories that betray the subtle deterioration of the human psyche - in normal, everyday life. Beautiful writing.

Inland by Tea Obreht

  • Detail, description, and imagery abound to evoke the struggles of the early settlers in the west and the Camel Corps. A wonderful escape into an earlier America. The nature imagery is delicious.
