Hiss Golden Messenger releases 'Jesus Is Bored and Other Favorites' at nugs.net and Bandcamp

Hiss Golden Messenger is thrilled to announce Jesus Is Bored and Other Favorites, the latest in a series of live performances recorded on the Hiss Mobile Recording Unit (HMRU for short). Taken from their October 29, 2023 show at Toronto’s Phoenix Theatre, Jesus Is Bored and Other Favorites captures Hiss Golden Messenger in peak form following the release of 2023’s Jump for Joy. In addition to debut live recordings of several songs from that album and favorites from across the Hiss Golden Messenger catalog, Jesus Is Bored and Other Favorites includes covers of Steve Young’s “Lonesome, On’ry and Mean” and Paul McCartney & Wings’ “Let Me Roll It.” 

Jesus Is Bored and Other Favorites is available on nugs.net and Bandcamp, where 50% of sales proceeds benefit The Stop, an organization dedicated to increasing access to healthy food in Toronto. For over 40 years, The Stop has offered support, fostered health and togetherness, and challenged inequality in their community.
